here is my theory world war 2 force us government to print huge amount of money ,the raised during the war boost productivity instantly and drastically … but huge increase of money quantity do not spur inflation thanks to huge demand of us goods from destroyed-by-war europe . Marshal plan help both europe and american economy to recover.

It is true that the recession is long and deep. According to analysts, we are still in the second phase and would be entering the third phase of the recession soon (soon is still undefined). Many ask whether the economy will go through worst before it gets better however, panicking will not help either. Let us not forget that major losses as well as gains happen during a recession. Amidst the crisis, stock market has still perks to offer. We just need to exert an effort to educate ourselves to invest. All industries are offering low interest rates i.e in loans, mortgages and others. Though this act is to leverage loss, as consumers these offers are favorable to us. In these times what we need is a proper balance of spending and saving, nothing more nothing less. I am not an expert and could be wrong but it is the easiest way for us to recover.

Well you forget that Unemployment isnt a really indicator. Look this way if you take 10 people 3 of them lose jobs 5 of them are still working full time and 2 of them are working half their hours they were working before what is the unemployment rate? 30% right? Wrong it should be 40% but they dont equvilate people who are working less then before. Also The Federal Reserve Controls the Flow of money thus the cause of the Recession not the private sector. Mean this Abolish the FED! Want More Common sense like this go to

and Canada is not exempt

as long as you let everyone have their rights

go along with the gay and lesbian movement

I think you are absolutely right. This is a fantastic article. I really learned a lot. One thing i found interesting is the change in measuring unemployment. It almost seems as if we are just simply fooling ourselves by using the U3 statistics instead of the U6 statistics.

i don’t understand why watch dog groups don’t point this kind of stuff out. It may be that many americans just don’t care until it hits their bottom line.

For all of the above reasons i have to agree.

By January 08 Banks were declaring billions of write downs based on property valuations at the time, these write downs sent the banks in to melt down while the valuations are still dropping and the fed has shot it’s big guns already.

We are now in the declining spiral where more unemployment means less productivity, more bsuinesses going under and even more jobless.

This will doubtlessly lead to more bank writedowns and more tighening of the credit markets.

I’m normally an optimistic person, but in this case i think the writing is on the wall.

If you read about the “expert” views of the great depression you’ll see that many thought it was almost over when in fact it ran for another five years,

This article offers so much insight, though a frightening one. I believe that the recession plaguing the world will not be overcome so easily, with stories of economic gloom and doom all over the world. The losers are the philosophers of the free economy, a doctrine that has now been discredited like communism, at a great expense and great pain to the entire humanity.

Governments all over the world need to wake up to their responsibility. Let them all go back to the basics by regulating the markets and protecting the weak and the poor via welfare programmes.

wwwooooooowwww that`s scary , i do not know what to say , but i`m really scared , and i don`t want to hear or read all of that , but i ended up reading it all from a to z , now i didn`t save any money , and and i just lost my job , i was looking for a job everywhere but i did not find any , and i do not know what to do . but the only thing that i want to hear is something good about the economy .
but what i only hear is scary stuff everybody scares everybody, the media scares the citizens …..etc . hopefully we all can survive during this time if not it will be like a jungle .
